International women's Day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm on March 7, 2009 at Midhani auditorium.. The Guests of Honour for the day were Dr. Kinnera Murthy, Independent Director, MIDHANI & Professor, ASCI and Dr..K Sunitha, Coordinator ANVESHI. Shri M Narayana Rao, Chairman & Managing Director, Shri. K K Ramesh, Director (Prodn & Marketing), Shri VS Krishnamurthy, Director (Finanace) and Shri P Ravi, IPS, Chief Vigilance Officer spoke on Women's issues including women's empowerment, gender sensitization, sexual harassment at workplace, importance of skill development, self confidence and have also shared their views and experiences.

Midhani has been granted the status of 'Mini RATNA Category I' by the Department of Public enterprise (GOI) after the company met the stipulated conditions .
In this year of Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the commencement of Commercial Production Midhani is proud to attain the staus of 'Mini Ratna Category I '
