Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (Midhani) is organising its 5th annual "Customer Meet" on Monday the 13th October 2008. This marks the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of Midhani's Commercial Production that began in 1983. This will be followed by a Meet titled "Maraging Steel : Current Status and Future Prospects " to commemorate Twenty Five years of successful development and production of the exquisite Maraging Steel Family, on Tuesday, the 14th October 2008.
The two day Meet is planned at the "Heritage Site Taramati Baradari, Ibrahimbagh, Golconda Fort , Hyderabad"

New Director (Finance) joins duty on 18-7-2008
Shri V S Krishnamurthy takes over charge as
Director (Finance)

Chairman and Managing Director Shri M Narayana Rao welcoming the incumbent Director Finance Shri V S Krishnamurthy and accepting his joining report .	Welcoming back Shri VS Krishnamurthy as Director (Finance) is Shri K Ramesh Director Production.
General Manager (Finance) Shri B G Raj wishing Shri V S Krishnamurthy Director Finance on his assuming the office	Shri G Shankariah (AGM Finance) with Director Finance on the latter taking charge on 18th July 2008.

About Shri VS Krishnamurthy

Shri Vemulapati Sri Krishnamurthy is a Chartered Accountant. He has earlier worked in BHPV Vizag, BEML (KGF) , Midhani, BEML(KGF). He took charge on 18-07-2008 taking on the reins of the company as Director ( Finance).

VIP Visit
Vice Admiral BK Kaul visits Midhani on 18-07-2008

Vice Admiral BK Kaul and Rear Admiral Shri Sherawat along with other senior officers from the Navy had visited Midhani for having discussions of naval material. He was welcomed by Chairman and managing Director Shri M Narayana Rao who briefed the visitor about the various aspects of Midhani. Later Shri BK Kaul and his team were shown around the various production and inspection facilities of Midhani. Shri BK Kaul had shown keen interests in Midhani's activities and appreciated Midhani's role in the building of metals and alloys for independant India.

An Auspicious start
Shri PP Sinha Dy Director VSSC inaugurates the installation activities of the higher capacity 6.5 Tons Vacuum Induction Melting Furnace.

Midhani in its endeavour to to meet the growing demands of the company has been Upgrading and Procuring many New and higher capacity equipment . In this build up of equipment many of our customers have been participating by funding for some of the equipment. One such exercise is the procurement of the new 6.5 Tons VIM furnace procured from the world famous manufacturers M/S CONSARC Engg UK. Inspite of the initial glitches the equipment has been delivered in full. A new Shop "Melt Shop III" has been specifically constructed for the equipment. The actual installation activity has been inaugurated by none other than Shri Dr P.P.Sinha Deputy Director of VSSC accompanied by our Chairman and Managing Director Shri M.Narayana Rao, Shri K Ramesh Director (Production and Marketing) along with a host of other dignitaries such as Director (DMRL) , Project Director (DRDL) Regional Director (RCMA) , CRI (DGAQA) and others. The simple traditional function was organised invoking the gods and placing the first of the furnace beds in position.

By addition of the new 6.5 Tons VIM furnace Midhani will not only able to meet the demands of various superalloys requiremnts of many of its customers but also speed up the deliveries. Speaking on the occasion Shri PP Sinha commented on the excellent quality of the material from Midhani and wished that with the addition of the new 6.5 Ton VIM furnace Midhani should be able to compete with global leaders .
